Virginia's Tenth Congressional District is a U.S. congressional district in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The residents of the 10th District are represented by Republican Congressman Frank Wolf, first elected to the 10th's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1980. The district includes all of Clarke, Frederick, and Loudoun and the Independent Cities of Manassas, Manassas Park, Winchester, along with portions of Fairfax, and Prince William counties. Congressional districts are redrawn every ten years following a U.S. census. As it is configured, this district closely matches Virginia's voting patterns in statewide races with nearly identical margins as the final statewide results. Wolf won the 2012 race with 58% of the vote against Democrat Kristin Cabral and Independent J. Kevin Chisholm. Wolf announced on December 17, 2013 that he would not run for re-election in 2014, and is set to retire at the conclusion of his 17th term in office. (More from Freebase)
