On June 29, 2006, the House passed legislation (vote count), H.Res.895 (THOMAS bill info) sponsored by Rep. Mike Oxley (R-Ohio) that condemned media outlets, including the New York Times, for publishing information about a secret financial surveillance program set up by the Bush administration. [1]
