Congressional Scorecard Question

I have put together a Scorecard entries at American Civil Liberties Union 2007-2008 House Scorecard and American Civil Liberties Union 2007-2008 House Scorecard data. How do I actually get the data to show up for House Reps, such as Steny Hoyer? Moogle001 22:52, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

To be honest, I had to refresh my memory a bit. If I'm grasping things correctly, you merged some vestigial data from a false 2007 scorecard into the overall 2007-2008 House scorecard. Because we had originally set up the scorecards as year-based and not Congress-based, what I need to do now is go into the template that displays the scores and modify it to also do the ACLU (and others') Congress-based scorecards. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll take a look. Out of curiosity and so I can know things are set up correctly, did you build the csv with the scores for the House members yourself or were you able to grab it from someplace? Did you find this help page and did you find it useful? Finally, is this just something that caught your eye? --Conor_Kenny 02:52, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I used the help page and found it somewhat useful. Took me a bit to notice the data page was separate and then make sure I was formatting it correctly, but overall wasn't too bad (aside from the fact my browser freezes up for a while when looking at an entire scorecard). You might want to explicitly state what the method is for adding entirely new organization scorecards or new years/sessions, even if that's just contacting you.
I took the data from the ACLU website where they have a system for looking through scorecards from different Congressional sessions', then sorted and formatted the data to more or less match the ACU pages. I'm planning on doing the same for the Senate. And yeah, I saw the scorecard feature when looking at some Rep pages and thought it was cool, but it was clearly missing a lot of entries so I started looking into adding to it. Thanks for your help. --Moogle001 19:15, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
Hey Conor, I just wanted to ask what the status was on the scorecard entries.Moogle001 02:06, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Paul/Portman

You're welcome, the Paul/Portman thing was really bothering me so I just did what needed to be done. This is a great project you have going here; it is such a useful resource and is probably the most comprehensive list of its kind in existence. If there is anything else I can do to help, I would be happy to oblige.
